Most awaited Rahman-Aishwarya (plus Gowariker) combo. scheduled for released on December 2007 but drag on to january and it open worldwide only on Feb 15 2008..

after Lagaan, a hit in 2001 and Swades, a flop in 2004, Ashutosh make a huge comeback with this 400 million rupee film. I already allocate my money for this film but then, i dont feel like watching it becoz it only screened on selected cinema and i'm not a big fan of Hritik. but my friend ask me to accompany him to the movie and we off to Sunway Pyramid.

the film

it's a history type of film and i fell like watching NatGeo or history Channel at first. but i do enjoy the story.

the cinematography is brilliant, the set and costume is huge and beautiful. the colour use also attractive. set remind me to Devdas. and Hum dilde chuke Sanam. may be its because of Nitin desai but it's lovely and i love the details.

aish, nothing to explain, eye candy in the movie.

I dont really know the history of Mughal but i bet they are good muslim and follow the rule of Islam. that the main reason they can built the empire with great monument and economy. but in the movie, all the muslim shown as a bad guy except Akbar... but may be that particular character was proven a bad muslim.. and Gowariker had to tell the truth. one of my friend told me that akbar actually create his own religion cult that mix the Hinduism, Islām, Christianity, Jainism and Zoroastrianism... that will make muslim feel bad and non muslim will happy with the t o l e r a n c e (?). Gowariker also didn't show any of the islam main element, the ritual prayerMuslims 5 times a day.(hey.. akbar even miss his fajr prayer the day he sleep at the Rajputs). the only thing he keep repeating to the 'bad muslim' go to Mecca and perform hajj..

married a hindu as an administrative action?.. i doubt this. clearly stated that a muslim man can only be married to muslim woman or to CERTAIN Jew and Christian not hindu or other religion. so either Akbar and what so called Jodhaa married as both muslim or Jodha didnt convert. then he is the 'bad guy' in this story.. Muslim must put Religion first then Love..(YES, its Just a film but facts need to be detailed out...)

Overall, i enjoy the muvee and the audience in the cinema also good manner. I had a bad experience watching Sivaji ( u can guess the type of audience)... it just that the muvee stop before the intermission (technical problem).

The music

Most awaited from AR Rahman after Sivaji (I dont like azhagiya Tamilmagan). i listen to the soundtrack like a month ago. the first song that attract me only Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah.. after the third day (yeah, its ARR, u need few days for the song to grow on you), my choice is In Lamho Ke Daaman Mein. a beautiful one. but after watching the movie, my favourite will always be Khwaja Mere Khwaja. its mind blowing.. (and eye pleasing too!!)

and Jasn E Bahara is a slow pace with a good picturisation. man mohana alone sound boring but with the picturisation especially at the Mughal Palace is wonderful.. this song deserve an award (if Rahman next, Ghajini hindi version, out next year...)
